Dylan B. drove in Ryan M. with a two-out single in the bottom of the 8th inning leading the Padres to a 6-5 tournament championship victory over the Dodgers at the Polo Grounds in Aptos. Padres starter Oliver F. pitched 6 innings spreading out 6 hits with 12 strikeouts. The Dodgers rallied for 3 runs in the top of the 7th to send the game to extra innings. Congratulations to both teams for a thrilling final game to end the regular season.

The Padres defeated the Dodgers 8-2 Tuesday at Franich Park in Watsonville. Oliver F. gave up one run, three hits and struck out 11 in 4 2/3 innings. Ryan M. held the Dodgers to one run in 2 1/3 innings earning the save. Both teams will square off in the championship game on Tuesday, May 28, 5:15 pm at the Polo Grounds in Aptos.

The Padres scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning and held on in an epic extra innings battle with the Angels for a 5-4 victory. Nolan S. pitched 5 innings for the Padres giving up 2 runs on 4 hits with 7 strikeouts. Ryan M. and Roman M. combined to hold the Angels to 2 runs over the last five innings in relief. The Padres face the Dodgers on Tuesday at 5:15 pm at Franich Park in Watsonville. If the Padres win the teams will face off again on Tuesday, May 28 at the Polo Grounds in Aptos.
